if you have big feet, December 17, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sorel Women's Firenzy Breve Boot (Apparel) I wear a 11 and sometimes a 12. I took a job in the snow removal feild this winter and needed desperatly a pair of warm, waterproof boots. I went to no kidding, 12 stores including Gander Mountian (a hicking store in our area). They have no simple size woman's 12 anything anywhere. Since moving to Illinois 19 yrs ago I never needed such specialized boot. So 12 stores later feeling like the only size 12 shoe woman on the North American continent, I started my search on e-bay....nothing worth having, so I asked.com'd it, which brought me to Amazon. I spent at least 10 hours researching boots that fit my criteria, going as far as willing to take a 70 mi. ride to try on a pair of theese Sorel because the pictures seemed to good to be true. The Chicago store that carried Sorel did not carry theese in my size.I took a huge sigh and then took the plunge, ordering my 1st pair of shoes on-line.

Great quality and they arrived only a couple of days after estimated delivery date provided. Be careful with sizing! I am usually a perfect size EU 38 and my foot measures 24cm. Don't rely just on general tables of size conversion as they can vary considerably, as can manufacturer's sizing. For a 24cm foot Amazon's general conversion chart said I would buy a US 8, but on Sorel's own sizing chart the same foot measurement was listed as a US 7. I followed Sorel's measurements and the boots fit perfectly. My advice when buying shoes online - always check sizing directly with manufacturers.

Stylish, but comfy enough to wear all day, January 22, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sorel Women's Firenzy Breve Boot (Apparel) I love this boot! I had always associated sorel with quality, since their PAC boots are all we ever wore growing up in Vermont, but I wasn't expecting such a stylish boot from them. I now live in DC, where there's a lot more pressure to look your best and the old PACs would really stand out. At the same time, without a car I rely a lot on my feet to get around, so I needed a boot that would be warm and comfy as well as stylish. I looked at a TON of boots that claimed to be all three, but this was the only one I felt fit the bill.
While obviously not as warm as an insulated PAC boot, this boot is plenty warm for the winters here and also did great in the snow on a trip to the Colorado Rockies. It's so light and comfortable I often wear it all day, inside and out. It also fulfills my other wish for a boot: not to add too much height. I always feel stylish in this boot.
I got a 7.5, which is the same size I would buy a pair of flats in and they fit great with enough... Read more
