Comfortable for long distance walking, September 13, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Skechers Women's Shape Ups XF-Accelerators Wide Fashion Sneaker (Apparel) I have recently gone through a lot of time and money trying to find some great shoes. I just did a 60 mile/3 day walk for breast cancer and have signed up to do another one next year... so, with all of the training miles, good shoes are important to me. I had bought several pairs of hundred dollars shoes and one pair of ten dollar K-mart shoes. The hundred dollar shoes ALL gave me blisters or made my knees and ankles hurt. The ten dollar shoes from Kmart, Therashoe brand were the only ones that were perfect and I wore them for the whole 60 mile walk. When I was complaining that they no longer make that brand and I didn't know what I was going to do when they wore out, someone told me to try these. So far, I have worn these shoes through about 50 miles of training walks and have not had any blisters. They are perfectly comfortable, they are cushioned, so they feel great for long distance walking. I wouldn't recommend them for any jumping exercises... I wore them for Plyometrics once... Read more

The widest part of my foot is the toes, and I have a high instep, making it hard to find comfy shoes. The Sketcher Women's Shape Ups Accelerator was amazing from the first time I tried them on - they accomodate my toes while still giving good support. I love the 'bouncy' feeling - like walking on the moving sidewalks at the airport. I actually wear them for more than walking just because they are so darned comfortable. I tried other shape up shoes, when I couldn't find these, and found they were not comfortable like this particular shoe. I bought several pair just to be sure I wouldn't be without them.

These were for my husband, I have two pairs already. He never understood my raving about how comfortable they are to wear all day, how much better my back and posture was etc....That was until he put his new pair on. Fantastic, he has had a knee issue, pain coming and going, nothing was found after an xray, he was just told its an "Age" thing. Since wearing the sketcher XF accelerators he has not had a twinge.
