It looks very pretty on the foot. I bought these to wear with a vintage wool dress, and it is a winner. My normal size is 9.5, but I went with the 10 because I wanted to add a gel insole. Perfectly comfortable, good heel height, easy to walk in. The flexible sole and sling back with the medium heel make all the difference to my comfort in this shoe. This is a 3-season shoe because the taupe herringbone works with many colors and other neutrals beautifully. These shoes are good with or without hosiery. I've found that taupe stockings look very polished, but these shoes are hot with dark-wash, straight-leg jeans, too.
