Great fitting casual sandal, March 31, 2012 By This review is from: Fitflop Women's Sling Sandal (Apparel) I had these in my basket a tad too long. They sold out. I found the mink color in my size on another site. When I went to pay, I was surprised that I could pay through Amazon. That was a bonus for me. It made me feel better about using a site that I was not familiar with. They even came in two days.
Now for the review. I have multiple pairs of Fitflops. They work well for my feet. I have a bunion on my right foot. The sling style fits around it with no problem. Recently, I developed tendonitis in my left foot from extensive walking on a rocky surface in thin soled "skeletoes." The thick sole of the Fitflop is my saving grace as I work through physical therapy. I wear them 24/7. I generally love the Fitflop brand. Never am I disappointed in the fit or look.
Pros:
Style - the sling style makes them dressy enough for me to wear to work
Sizing - I wear 8.5 US: the 39 is a great fit
Comfort - I can walk an 8 hour day without pain/discomfort... Read more

Comfortable!, April 25, 2012 This review is from: Fitflop Women's Sling Sandal (Apparel) I always thought fitflops were, frankly, ugly. The big rubber sole, the big straps. Nothing feminine about them. And then I injured my metatarsal doing yoga and had to reconsider my shoe choices. For the winter I wore Fitflop Shuvs a lot and loved them, so I decided to give the sandal a try. I ordered these because the more typical thong variety of fitflops were running large on me (I wear a 5 so can't size down) and also because the thong between the toes was hurting in all my shoes. These do have a strap between the toes, but it is entirely different as it doesn't stress the metatarsal owing to the other supportive straps (it sort of just keeps the shoe in position on your foot). The strap that runs across the top of the arch (closest to your ankle) really helps keep the shoe on your foot so you're not gripping with toes.
I bought the blue/gray color and they are bright and cheerful and exceedingly comfortable. Surprising how many things that bright blue goes with. I will... Read more

LOVE FitFlops, March 24, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Fitflop Women's Sling Sandal (Apparel) I have almost all the fit flops in some form or another and figured this one would be amazingly comfortable too. BUT I neglected to consider how the straps would fit across my foot. I have a bunion on the right foot and the straps do at some point make the fit a bit uncomfortable. I may have to stay with the 'regular' fit flop flips but I will keep this pair for those days when my feet are feeling fine.
LOVE the orange color too! Wanted to order the beige-y boring color but they sold out. This was a better choice!
